Terms and Conditions – Consultations (Consultation Packages  & Health & Hormone Audit)

For One-to-One Nutrition Consultations

By scheduling a consultation with Nurture Nutrition, you agree to the following terms.

General

I (Julie McGill – Nurture Nutrition) agree to provide the best care I can within my scope of practice.  You agree to discuss your expectations & the support you require from me during your first session, and for your plan to be reviewed and discussed at further appointments to ensure expectations are met.  Communication is key.  I strive to provide all the tools you need to reach your goals, but you need to be open with the level of support you need.  You acknowledge that the success of any treatment depends upon you following my recommendations, staying motivated and committed and providing me with the information I need to tailor my suggestions to enable you to meet your goals.  You also acknowledge that specific results cannot be guaranteed.

Appointment Times

Appointment times are as indicated on your booking confirmation, if you are late for an appointment, it will still end at the original time stated.

Payment/ Cancellation

Payment is either made in full at the time of booking or a deposit is paid if chosing a payment plan. I provide a secure third-party payment platform to do this (Stripe).  If you have chosen a payment plan for your consultation package, this is also managed by Stripe and I don’t personally save any of your payment information anywhere.  Any default fees that occur because of you missing a payment will be charged to you the client.  Any set up or ongoing fees for direct debit will be discussed and included in your instalments.  I will be in touch with you to set up the ongoing payments – this is normally organised during your initial consultation.  It is your responsibility to ensure your payments are made as per agreed payment plan.  I reserve the right to suspend or cancel a program if you fail to pay me by the due date.  In this case I will not be obliged to provide you with a refund for any amounts already paid by you for services rendered.  If a package is suspended it will only be reinstated when any non-payment issues are resolved.

Once your package is completed if you continue working with me on a regular basis the payment for any follow up consultations is due in full on the day of the first consultation in your package. Any supplements ordered need to be paid for directly to my suppliers.  I will provide you with an online prescription – you will pay them, and they will deliver directly to you.  If there is any case where I need to order on your behalf, then full payment is required prior to dispatch.  Any tests must be paid in full prior to test kit dispatch.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment at any time, you are required to give 48hrs notice so the appointment time can be filled by another client. If you do not turn up to an appointment, and no contact has been made with Nurture Nutrition regarding this, you will be invoiced for the consultation as we will be unable to fill this time slot.  A reminder email is sent out 48 hours prior.  If you or a dependant family member are unwell, please give me as much notice as possible.

During your consultation package you may suspend the package and any subsequent follow up consultations for up to 12 weeks.  After 12 weeks you will need to start from scratch if you wish to continue.

All information gathered in the Nurture Nutrition clinic is always kept private & confidential. However, if Nurture Nutrition has serious concerns about your safety, or the safety of others, information you tell us may be released to ensure your safety.  Nurture Nutrition takes client confidentiality seriously and uses systems with extremely high standards of security for your private and sensitive information.  All data collected on the online intake form is held in a secure server.  No one else has access to this data.

Online consultations & phone calls

If you book an online or phone call appointment with Nurture Nutrition, it is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate internet connection for these appointments. If your internet connection is not adequate and sessions do not go ahead as planned, I will call you and do my best to support you during your allocated time frame. If a phone call consultation is not answered as organised at a specified time, you will also be charged.  If there is a problem with the server (Zoom or Mobile Network) and the call will not connect at no fault of the client or practitioner, then the consultation will be re booked at a later date for no extra charge.

Disclaimer

Nutritionists & other Natural Health Practitioners use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows them to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health. Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Nutritionists are not permitted to diagnose medical conditions. Nutritional advice is not a substitute for professional medical advice and/or treatment. Practitioners never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional. They will also frequently work alongside a medical professional and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client’s care to explain any nutritional therapy programme that has been provided.

Clients of Nurture Nutrition understand & agree to the following:

You (the client) are responsible for ensuring you contact your GP or another medical professional regarding any health concerns you may have.

You (the client) give permission for Nurture Nutrition to contact your GP regarding any aspects of your case that I deem necessary.

You (the client) will ensure to inform Nurture Nutrition if you are receiving any other nutritional advice, and to inform your GP or medical practitioner about advice given to you by Nurture Nutrition.

You (the client) will ensure to inform Nurture Nutrition of the medications and supplements you are taking and to provide an overview of your medical and health history.

You (the client) understand that by withholding this information you may cause serious harm due to the potential interactions between medications.

If at any stage you (the client) are unclear on any aspect of your nutrition plan or program, including supplement doses/times, you will contact Nurture Nutrition directly for confirmation.

If you decide to start taking supplements that are outside of your treatment plan provided by Nurture Nutrition it is your responsibility to inform Nurture Nutrition as soon as possible to ensure the treatment provided by Nurture Nutrition is still deemed safe and effective.

The recording and sharing of any consultation using any form of electronic media is not allowed without the prior written consent of Nurture Nutrition & You (the client).
